- Till the cows come home: doing st for a long time without getting bored.
- Cooked his goose: put an end t or ruined his chance of getting the job.
- Get out of the rat race: leave the constant struggle for success in business or one's job.
- There are plenty more fish in the sea: there are still lots of people left to have relationship with.
- Wouldn't say boo to a goose: very shy
- The lion's share of : the largest share.
- Donkey work: hard, tiring and boring work involved in a task.
- Look a gift horse inthe mouth: criticize or be ungrateful for something that has been given to you.
- Wouldn't hurt a fly: very gentle.
- Talk the hind leg off a donkey: talk for a very long time.
- There are no flies on her/him: she/he is intelligent and ale to think quickly.
- The bee's knee's: extremely good.
- Look like something the cat has dragged in: look untidy and badly dressed
- No spring chicken: certainly not very young.
- Dropping like flies: start falling ill in great numbers.
When my teacher gave us this, i did it 50% wrong. Idioms help me understand more about language (my teacher says that idiom is the language's color). I retype these idioms here for reviewing and remembering! :)
